We Gave In

I swear I'd never let him, never give him that crap! BUT, you give in. Especially when it's the one of the only free place to play indoors in the winter. Save for the $1 cup of Joe.

I'm talking about...........McDonalds.

Yes, I read Fast Food Nation, saw Super Size Me, and yes I give my kids organic food! So how could I give in to the evil?! Well, you just do.

To quote Sheryl Crow, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad." So now, I hate to write this, Giacomo's favorite place is McDonalds. Happy Meal 'n all.

Oh well, it's not all the time - only in small doses - we swear, we won't get addicted....

Asher's 4th Birthday

Last week we also attended the 4th birthday party of Giacomo's classmate Asher. The party took place in a coloring book store. It was a Star Wars / Yoga themed party. There was a yoga instructor who really engaged the kids, although Giacomo took off mid-downward-dog to scarf down some pirate booty! And they played the theme song to Star Wars and had a Star Wars cake, Pin the Button on the Light Saber, etc..

Asher has an older brother so that's how he knows Star Wars. But I guess he talks about it at school alot, because he's one of the kids that Giacomo really likes and so now Giacomo comes home saying, "YEAH! Star Words!!" It's so cute! He doesn't know the word "war"?! So he thinks Asher has been saying "Star Words"!!!!!

Oh, how can I keep him this innocent?!

Gymnastics Themed Birthday

Last week we attended Giacomo's friend Sophia's 4th birthday party at The Little Gym. Giacomo had such a blast I think I'm gunna sign him up for a gymnastics class.

Little Zac's 3rd Birthday

Giacomo has 3 friends named Zachary. One is Zach, another is Little Zac, and the other is Zack and he's a twin.

So last week we had the birthday of Little Zac, he's in the afternoon enrichment program with Giacomo at school, which is mixed-ages.

Giacomo loves Little Zac and was by his side the whole time at the party - especially for the cake :-)

New neighbors for the cuz's!

Another one bites the dust, our good friends are moving to the burbs :-(

But, lucky for us they're moving a few sreets away from Spencer and Krissy!!!

Their daughters Clare and Gwen are the same age as Seda and Isla! (And they happen to be the same age as Giacomo and Dorian too).

You can see their house from Spencer's house, and we joked that the girls could communicate the old fashoined way, with a long string and a couple of cans!

So yesterday we drove out to have lunch and visit with the cuz's.

We'll miss them in this town, but I know we'll still see them lots :-)

The Plunging of the Snow

Yesterday we had a most beautiful snowfall.

After I picked Giacomo up from school, and while Dorian was peacefully napping, we decided to play on our rather huge terrace.

We normally store the plunger out there, in hopes that the boys will never find it. Well, Giacomo did find it and at first I told him not to play with it, but then I figured, oh what the hay, go for it. And lemme tell ya, it is a great snow toy! You can make "O"'s with the plunger side, and practice your writing with the stick side! It kept Giacomo entertained for over an hour! Until I had a better idea......hot chocolate!
