An Official Student!

today was giacomo's first day of nursery school! he absolutely loved it and did not want to leave at the end of the jam-packed 2 1/2 hours. his school takes place at the synagogue and follows the jewish calendar of holidays, and teaches about the shabbat every friday. so since today was friday, the teacher gave all the kids challah and then another teacher played guitar in the sanctuary and all the kids joined in.

but... you don't have to be jewish to get into the school, and.....funny enough....giacomo is the only yid in the class!?! who knew!?!

they also have a great playground and the classroom is bright and cheery and the teachers are really great too.

what's really cute is that there's a boy, matteo, who has the same curly blonde hair as giacomo! you can see him in the second shot.

afterwards we went for ice-cream since he was such a good boy :-)
