Pick-Your-Own!

A big thing in NY and NJ is to pick your own fruits & veggies from local farms and orchards. Last weekend we went to an amazing such place. Lawrence Farms & Orchards near Newburgh, NY with views stretching hundreds of miles across the Hudson Valley in all directions.

We picked peaches, apricots, eggplants, cucumbers and jalapeno peppers. They also had nectarines, currants and gooseberries available for the pickin' but we were set with the aforementioned. The peaches were so ripe and juicy we couldn't help but eat them right there in the fields with the warm juice dripping down our faces! I felt like a fruit glutton, we were a mess.

They have hundreds, if not thousands of apple trees and gord patches, that come October, we will be back!
